For our son-in-law’s birthday, we turned the house into a little movie tavern on the high seas and hosted a pirate-themed Forks & Film night—and it was such a fun way to celebrate him.

We settled into our movie theatre room and watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, surrounded by laughter, good food, and a little bit of pirate mischief.
The menu felt like it sailed straight out of Tortuga:
Captain Jack’s Caribbean Rice, Hawaiian Meatballs, Crispy Baked Old Bay Chicken, “Parlay” fresh green beans, ambrosia salad, and a pineapple upside down cake to finish it all off.

It was one of those evenings where everything just worked—good company, a themed table full of comfort food, and a movie that never really gets old. A simple idea, turned into a memory worth keeping.
