There is something so simple and sacred about baking cookies with a friend—flour on the counter, laughter in the kitchen, and the comfort of being completely at ease with someone who has known you through the seasons of life.
Kelly and I have been friends for 30 years. That sentence alone holds a thousand memories—different chapters, different homes, different versions of ourselves, and yet somehow the same steady friendship through it all. We’ve walked through the highs and the hard places, the everyday moments and the life-changing ones, and we’ve always found our way back to each other.
This photo of us baking cookies feels like a snapshot of that kind of friendship. Nothing fancy. Nothing staged. Just two friends standing in a kitchen, doing something ordinary that somehow becomes meaningful because we are doing it together.
